About Us / 概要

FICSは全クラス、FISの教室を利用し、経験豊富で様々な国出身のネイティブ講師が担当します。また、初心者や低学年生のクラスでは講師に加え、バイリンガルのアシスタントがサポートします。「読む、書く、話す、聞く」の４つのスキルに重点を置き、全てのスキルが身につくよう段階的に指導いたします。授業では、語彙力アップ、クラスメイトとのスピーキング、フォニックスやリーディング、また、楽しくやりがいのある様々な活動を通して、作文や日記を書く練習をします。英語力の上達のために、毎週宿題にて定着を図り、年２回筆記と会話力の上達具合について保護者の方にご説明いたします。

All of our classes are conducted in the FIS classrooms by native English speakers from around the world with bilingual classroom assistants for younger learners. We focus on the four skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. We offer courses that will take English language learners through all skills step by step. In class students will work on vocabulary building, pair speaking activities, phonics and reading, and sentence & journal writing via a variety of fun and challenging activities. To support student development all students receive regular weekly homework assignments. Formal evaluations are conducted twice a year and results are shared with parents.

３、「Young Adults Program / 中学生・高校生コース」は中学生・高校生対象

21世紀型スキルに必要な要素をすべてのレッスンで実践していきます。コミュニケーション能力と話すことに焦点をおいたレッスン行います。

４、「Returnee Program / 帰国生コース」は一定の英語力を持つお子様を対象

探究心を引き出す教授法で英語強化を図るクラスです。

At FICS we offer four programs of study. The Kindy Program is for children ages 3-6 years while our Kids Program is for elementary aged school children. The popular Young Adult Program for junior high school students also has a series of listening, writing and presentation tasks each month. 21st century skills are practiced in all lessons. All lessons are 60 minutes long and focus on communication and fluency skills co-taught by both native English speaking teachers and Japanese English teachers. Our Returnee Program is an intensive language arts program geared towards children ages 6 and up, using an inquiry based teaching methodology.
